Yeah I liked it,dont really like Jonah. Love the bay horse though playing Rough Diamond. My Jack is an ex racer so can relate to it. I think it is a bit like Black beauty sorta story though.

Missed the first 20 mins as was doing the pub run (lucky me!) but the bit I did see was a little unrealistic, but quite pleasant to watch! Will definitely be tuning in next week!

I liked it! I just enjoy anything horsey on tv though as we get so little really. Yes there were bits that were a bit silly (like the headcollar/bridle bit, or the reins-over-head-while-wearing-martingale which always annoys me when people do that) but hey, it's entertainment and it's not meant to be teaching people how to ride/care for horses!
Roll on next week, can't wait for the yard makeover (what a tip!!)

Silmarillion has it in a nutshell.

lets be thankful there are horses on the Beeb and enjoy it for what it is, sunday night family entertainment.

I thought it was grand.

I wonder why they can never make a better job of getting the movement correct when showing close-ups of people who are supposed to be riding at canter or gallop. Usually looks like they might be on a rocking horse!

Apparently it was filmed with him sat on something on the vack of a lorry driving along!

Bit daft but of course totally addictive because of the horse factor.
How I laughed at the posh yard with all those grooms, even on my travels I've never seen more than one per horse!
Why on earth do they always portray horse's whinneying so much, as for a horse screaming the only time I heard a real scream was from or pony when the stallion here picked it up by it's neck.. ( five year old CCj had turned it out in the wrong field...)
I do cringe a bit too when they make horses rear and walk backwards but like most tricks I suppose they are taught.
CCJ taught Chocolate to rear and wave his front legs in the air on command, great fun to watch but I pointed out the first time he does that in a dressage test she is in trouble... So it will quietly be forgotten about.
I will of course be watching at 8pm next week..The scenery was wonderful too, was it North orSouthern Ireland?

A pleasant enough way to spend an hour on a Sunday evening so I will be watching again next week but agree with the other comments re the lack of equestrian knowledge and the actual technical continuity was apalling!

Horse in the stable with a head collar on, next time he comes out the stable has a bridle on?

Then a lad whom has never been on a horse before rides off on him bare back, jumping 5 bar gates & stays on
crazy.gif
........extremely weak & ludicrous story

. I will probably watch it next week to see if it gets any better........ because it can't get any worse! or can it?
