You wouldn't want to be a narrow hipped rider riding on that on anything other than a narrow ribcage, all that padding in the sweat flap! And of course not mentioning the channel width...and puhlease, don't anyone start saying how we didn't have saddle fit issues back then...we had fistulous withers and all sorts back then, horses turned away and shot if they didn't come sound. We bred horses for soundness and utility however, unlike now, and didn't have diagnostics to know why horses were lame.

And we forget what trauma entire nations, the men, the women, who managed to get through war and other crises, suffered. So sorry for what happened to you, and your father, Ratface.
