Round Bale haylage

Just out of interest, does anyone know if it is OK to feed haylage that has been cut this yr?
We have some big bales at the yd that meet this description. Apparently the horses are only meant to have very small amounts as it is very rich.

To be honest I wouldn't feed it yet. Haylage has to ferment ( cook) doesn't it

I don't know how old haylage has to be before you feed it, but please tell me where you are getting this year's cut from!!

My husband has just started baling this years haylege and I wont want to feed it for at least 3 months so it has time to "mature"

DEFRA have said haylage can be used after being wrapped for 24hrs!
