I have been off work for couple of weeks (hence being on here less!) so thought i'd do quick round up.

Sassy was advertised on couple of websites and we've had NO response - very disappointing, she is going in H&H this week so maybe we'll hear something but not that hopeful such a shame as she's cracking horse. She's been out dressage again and got great marks and placings - just pray there's someone out there for her!
Here she is at Beaver Hall where she came 3rd and 6th with % in high 60's

And my best news is Bud is back

took him out to his first little comp yesterday trailblazers at Hargate just did 75cm as its his first time out since April and just wanted to see he was happy and not sore at all - he jumped lovely double clear and came 2nd! (mum told me to go slow and i thought i did but don't think many clears - i didn't really want to get placed as bit embaressing

Anyway chuffed to bits he seems happy and sound!! just got to get him back up to fitness now......

So fingers crossed i can get Sassy sold then concentrate on hopefully getting Bud out eventing before end of season!!

She's lovely... I'd definitely be interested if I had some spare cash and an extra few hours in the day!! Good luck with the H&H ad, I'm sure you'll get interest from that. I advertised mine on www.horseselect.co.uk, got masses of calls from that, might be worth a try?

thank you - i will have a look at that site now - i did it on Horsemart and Horsequest and just got nothing! such a shame she really is a lovely sort even got my mum riding again - she's hacking her out as she doens't trust Bud as he can be so naughty!

I am so happy - he was quite puffed yesterday but it was SO hot, going to try get his fitness up (he's even going quite well on the flat dare i say!)

Glad you like photo..... lets just hope we find her the lovely home she deserves!

I would say it's definitely worth it, it costs £40 to advertise but you can put as many photos on as you like, and I had calls about mine within half an hour of the advert going online! And the first person who called ended up buying him..

Im in kinda the same prediciment!

Im trying to sell Spider at the mo with below pic so rather similar pics!!

Good luck with selling her she looks lovely, I HATE selling horses!!

As i'm selling her for owner and advertising is already upto about £200 with £145 for H&H (i think that is very expensive) i think we'll have to wait and see what response we get, then see.
Maybe your horse was different type or price!?

It's tough isn't it!!! Do you have to be BD memeber to advertise on there? how much is it advertise on there??

If you don't mind me asking (PM if you'd prefer) how much are you asking for Spider?

Um, well don't really know enough about yours to judge... mine was little grey gelding, 7 years old, novice level BE with 12 points, perfect junior horse. but then there are always lots of nice youngsters on there, plus a lot of older less expensive horses, though of course how they sell I wouldn't know as Charlie was the only one I've ever advertised...

no wonder he sold fast sounds like a good sort - Sassy is 6 yr old only been competing 8 weeks was broken and turned away last year then brought back into work late this year. She's been placed everytime out and done all i ask of her came 2nd at first only ODE but dressage is her strong point. she is well bred and very easy to do - we're asking £8500 - do you think that price is putting people off?

To be honest I think I probably didn't ask enough for him, hence why I had so much interest!! his flatwork could be tricky so I only asked £12,500, comparable horses were going for up to £20k. But at least he sold quickly without having hundreds of people viewing and thinking him overpriced.

I would say that £8,500 is not at all unreasonable for your mare. If I was looking for another one I would certainly consider going to see her on the basis of the photo, results and price. It sounds like she is worth the money; when I was looking for mine I went to see a 6 year old priced at nearly £10k, it had done nothing and when I sat on it it was really green and wobbly. The previous autumn I viewed a 4 year old on at £8,500 - napped and stopped at everything and had hardly been out anywhere. Whereas yours clearly has very nicely established flatwork and jumping and already has proven results. I would stick with it for now; maybe the time of year and perhaps she would sell better in the autumn...?

I think that price seems very expensive - I bought a 6yo 18 months ago for £4500 and he had won at prelim supposedly and done pretty much nothing else. I see JRN eventers for £10k who have BE points who are only 8/9 years old. I have been looking at horse prices and I think they are coming down there is a lot on the market and its been a bad year for selling with the rain and lack of hay. I think it will only get worse as winter will be soon here.

Great to know Bud is back and well.
