Roundness in canter - how's it looking?

I like his rhythm (and his colour!) for me he needs more 'roundness' over his back, his neck needs to come out and round rather than down and round. He does this better in the bit of trot work in the vid. He needs to push 'up' to the contact. However it is a good work in progress :)

thanks :) We have just started this week to ask for more 'up and round' rather than 'down and round', it has taken him a while to get the hand of being round in canter at all, he finds it easier to be down, so asking for him to come back up has taken a while. It is quite inconsistent at the moment and he finds it hard to maintain for any length of time but I dont push him more than he can manage.

For six I think you're doing a great job! If I were you I'd work on ten mins of walk to canter every day to get him really propelling from behind and using his back. I'd also keep a slightly longer rein to encourage a 'down and round' frame throughout. Other than that, I think he looks really nice! He looks like such a comfortable and steady ride.
