How would you run a yard that had 5 miniatures, 4 ponies and 7 horses?

All live out, 6 horses in work, 3 of which are in part-time work.. other 3 need ride or a lunge 5-6days a week,

Working hours 8-5 luch breaks etc, as and when.

All ponies low matinence just like to make sure they get groomed or faffed around with at least once a week and obviously they get feet, rugs and checked over daily!

As for yard work, just general stuff, no major poo picking tasks or anything :)

Thanks in advance for any replies, need a bit more organisation!

Oh and I work on my own, apart from someone comes in to cover my day off :)

Sounds like it runs itself already..... You have your work cut out. Do you ride all those yourself?

Yes i do but that does include my own horse too :)

I just want to get into a better routine as I think I will be motivated more and be a bit more organised if i know i ride at thsi time and do that at this time if that makes sense? At the moment I just rush around and dont really have a direction :)

Are there stables or stalls for the horses? If so I would hay, water, bring in whoever is working that morning, do any other small jobs while they're eating breakfast, ride/lunge 2 or 3, hay & water, throw out/bring in, have lunch, ride/lunge 2 or 3, faff with ponies, feed, throw out, muck out, go home and sleep!

With no mucking out to do, I assume there are stables though, I would bring in the 3 that are ridden each day plus one extra and ride them in the morning, then turn them out, it should be fairly easy to get 4 exercised between 8.30 and 12.30 if one or two are just lunged, then to tidy the boxes before lunch.
In the afternoon bring in one or two to groom etc 2- 3.30 then do other jobs tidy yard, tack clean etc.

When I am busy I find that if I dont ride in the morning there are other things that take over and motivation is less in the afternoon, by having them in together waiting for you means less trips to the field and more incentive to get on with them.
