Ok so basically just over a week ago Rowy came back from being backed. I dont know if people heard before but he had a broncing fit so i sent him away, AFTER checking with the vet he was ok to be backed and ridden at his age.
So i was going to wait to turn him away until we move (next week) but decided he was doing all i wanted of him and more. also looking at these piuctures i wish i had turned him away sooner as he does look a little babish still ( when he was at backing yard he was quite fat so didn't show as much) anyway i will be turning him away until march/ april next year now.
oh and since he has come back i have only ridden him about 6 times for about 10 mins each time and i dont lunge him before or anything. He has been great! not even thought about bucking.
He isn't on the bit very much at all, and i dont force him down!!! which is because he is only 3 and still immature and unbalanced etc. but i picked pictures where he looked nice on the bit, just wanted you to know im not running him into the ground or anything :P
plus i know there are loads of riding faults on my behalf, i look like i'm pulling to hard in some of them which makes me sad (my other horse is a speedy tb mare so its hard adjusting) :( that is why its good to take pictures so you can correct yourself if you dont have a trainer everyday so please forgive me for this faults :(

so this is my little dressage star. :) so so so can;t wait till next year to start to compete. can;t believe this amazing little horse is actually mine :D

Bless, he looks gorgeous! I think you can tell he isn't being forced down, but he doesn't look uncomfortable so lets hope it all comes naturally hey? :)
And I'm not usually a fan of appies, but he IS lovely! A dressage star in the making for sure! :p

Hi ya I used to know rowan and Anita you bought him off she will be so pleased at how he is progressing. He looks fabulous carry on the good work!!

It's so nice to see a horse working on a proper contact in a nice working outline, it seems to becoming a bit of a rarity these days with so many overbent competition horses!

he is going to be lovely .... the grin on your face says it all.... well done - he is gorgeous - he is working lovely and not being forced at all

excuse any spelling - been on the pimms!!!!!! lol

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments! I'm glad that going on the bit comes naturally to him, will make it a bit easier for me next year!
I really do hope he is a dressage star in the making!
