Only watching intermittently but the Australian horse that just won travelled how ever many thousands of miles for a 5 furlong sprint. Definitely paid off for them.

My RoR ran at Royal Ascot and when you see them come out of the tunnel into that huge crowd makes me wonder quite what he thought. He was in one of the races with 20 runners so had lots of chums with him.

My Grandpa bred 5 horses out of a little cheap mare that won a couple of races. One of her son’s won at Royal Ascot. Best day of his life, he said.
He was offered a lot of money for the horse but declined all offers and kept him in retirement at the trainers until he was PTS at a good age.
I haven’t watched any today, will try a bit tomorrow but it would be better with the odd jump 😃
