As the title suggests I would like some help I was recently talking to a rep and was given some sample packets of food both my dogs really loved it but some reviews are putting me off trying it I would need to buy the medium adult for my beddlington who is a fussy eater but did eat every bit of the samples and the labrador junior for my lab it is also very pricey which itsnt an issue if they do well on it, alot of the reviews say that dogs love it but it contains low grade products at high prices so any suggestions or views helpful

I feed the Royal Canin Lab Junior to my puppy and he's doing really well on it. Tried plenty of others before and he always had an upset tummy but since being on Canin we've had no problems and it's helped hiw grow at a steady healthy rate.

This is an American site and they are very biased towards the "natural" brands so any such as Royal Canin, Hills, etc they slate.

Royal Canin - we have used this for brand for 18 yrs. Tried other foods occassionally and always went back to RC. All our dogs have loved it and done exceptionally well on it - large and small! However I do feed fresh meat in addition to the kibble - at seperate times of the day.

We use Royal Canin, recommended through vets. Our lab had maxi junior, but we moved him to the maxi adult aged about 9 months because there seemed to be too much protein.

Only criticism is that his breath can be a bit fishy, but his coat is lovely and he's really fit and well.

royal canin is one of the best foods around, along with hills james wellbeloved, wainwrights, proplan and eukanuba.

your dogs will be really well on it and it will save you money in the long run as you don't need to feed as much as cereal based dry food or wet food as its so rich.

the best place to get it is probably pets at home if you have one near you as the nearly always have it on offer especailly in the run up to christmas. in fact i've just checked and its on offer now. http://www.petsathome.com/find/category-...-is-royal_canin you can buy it onlone or ring your nearest store to see if the offer is in store and whether they have it in stock.

good luck

Thanks for all the advice I am just going to try it and see what the dogs think, I have saw in pets at home when I got the free samples but I didnt see the stuff for Labs and its not listed on line

We really rate it. Our huskies are on the Royal Canin high energy 4300 in winter when they are working (you can't buy this in shops) and the sensible in Summer when it's too hot to work them. We had tried various other foods (including raw/barf) but they just seemed to burn out. On 4300 they have more energy and look great. Sensible is a good maintenance one. They are a big company so have the money to put into research which must be a good thing.
