Anyone going? Any ideas where we could stay? Managed to miss getting into the main caravan park (its full) Now struggling to find somewhere. Getting desperate & trying to get into the Young Farmers camp site (which is horrific!!

)

Ideas?

We're going but just driving down for the day as not taking horses this year. Did you particularly want to stay in caravan?

Dont have to, but not much available in the way of hotel rooms or they are very £££ & there are 5 of us. I am only planning to stay Sat night but the others are there Thurs-Sun so the caravan would have been a good idea if we had been organised sooner, much sooner!!

I'm going!! I'm practically pouncing on the postie waiting for my membership stuff to come!
I'm fairly local so will just travel but there are a few caravan sites not that far away from the showground. Would sill mean travelling in but probably less than ten miles?

Nicnag - I used to be the same and went for all 4 days as we lived in Dunfermline so only 20 mins to get there (if you left early enough

) Now it's a 2 1/2 hr trek in the car

Unfortunately, all the hotels around Edinburgh Airport manage to inflate their prices around the time of the Highland Show (a bit like the Birmingham ones manage to do around HOYS! lol).

Have you tried Linwater Caravan Park near Livingston (www.linwater.co.uk) - probably around a 15 - 20 minute drive from the showground on a good day.

On the subject of the Highland, this weeks H & H mentions that they have record horse entries this year. My panic has started already
