The time has come to start getting excited! Who is going to be attending this year ? :)
Is anyone doing any classes ? If so what day/class will you be doing?

I am planning to go as a spectator but having to choose my day wisely at £25 a ticket !! If it was cheaper I'd go all 3 but its so expensive :(

parkings up to 8 quid too!! was.mad when i looked up memebers tickets if you go a fee days and have one it works out much cheaper

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Got a highland pony in for all 4 days so there every day. :D

Fri and Sat are meant to be torrenntial rains :( so thurs prob your best bet. Native breeds are on all day. Plus it's much less busy and stalls haven't started to run out of things.

Wow good for you :D hope you do well!

Aw no really! That might be the decider! Is it a neddy in ur sig ur taking ?

I think its worth every penny! (although the parking is a bit ridic!) best show of the year...beats balir hands down. I dont feel blair has much atmosphere.

Meee! (I already made a thread on this too :D)

I'm going Friday Saturday,

I used to do the payroll for the royal highland association and I left that job last month so they sent me free tickets for this year... thank god I'd forgotton to get my membership lol so It's not costing me or my friends a penny this year!

I'm mostly going for the shopping, and to prop the bar up in the Herdsman... cause y'know... it's unstable. Maybe watch some showjumping and catch up with some of my friends who are grooming there.

I'll be going very early doors Friday, getting a good parking spot and my car will remain there all weekend with my tent next to it lol!

If you see me (blonde, merry, Edinburgh accent!) say hi :D

I'm heading down on Thursday to watch the Racehorses and catch up with people then I shall have my Welsh Cob there on Friday for the in-hand. I sincerely hope the weather isn't as bad as they say it's going to be - shirt and waistcoat isn't the greatest weather protection lol! Not going Sat Or Sun this year as the judges were so incredibly naff I wasn't wasting my money.

I really hope the weather's ok. It's lovely today.......

Piper HATES inhand showing with a passion (sulks round the whole time with his ears flat back). Roo would LOVE to go but he's far too much of a big gangly weedy at the moment. Maybe next year. It's the Highland 2yr old Fergus going: he'll be in the stable so come and say hi!

We are taking a mare on Friday for the Welsh classes. These days we just go for a nice day out and pray the weather is good. Been to too many miserable wet days over the years. Will look at the forecast for friday and decide if its worth the effort!

When I lived 'up there', it was cheaper to enter a horse in a class and we'd get 2 entry tickets. Cheaper than going without the horse! I think we could use those tickets for other days as well. However, this was pre 1984! :) :p

Oh I do miss the Royal Highland! :(

I am hoping to go on fri, got quite a few friends entered so will be nice to see them strutting their stuff. hope the weather holds. raging about the increase of £3 for the carpark. they are blaming the cost of security and policing. policing is mostly done by specials and i can't imagine the car park people have got much of a pay rise. bleedy rip off. it is £33 before even going near the bar or the stands!

Im going on sunday, know quite a few people jumping the young masters championship final which should be really good, has been every other year! And of course going for the shopping, it is a shame about entry costs but i for one think it is so worth it esp if weather is nice but from what ive seen its meant to be heavy rain all 4 days, hopefully it changes tho!:D

Still debating whether or not to go, so expensive and I'm still drying out from Balcarres. Not sure I can face another show in the mud and piddling rain...

I was planning to go on Friday but now seen forecast for Fri and Sat will wait and see if Sunday's weather is any better. hope it's not a total washout especially for you guys competing.

I'm there all 4 days, we're members so it doesn't seem quite so bad but bit gutted about the rise in parking costs.
I keep thinking that i don't care about the weather i just hope it isn't too wet.

I am going Thursday - I am helping a friend showing youngstock in the sportshorse classes. Unbelievably, it will be my first visit to RHS:)

That is true dedication! Although if it is raining I can see the car being used instead of the tent?!

I will look out for you :) ( also blonde, merry and Ed accent :p )
