Royal horses

They're fab aren't they. I particularly liked the mounted band - looked like they were playing clarinets, trumpets, horns....the whole lot whilst mounted - now that's a skill, I can't even control my 2 hands together to ride my horse never mind riding whilst playing a musical instrument!!

I schooled a horse for a neighbour who was then sold on to ''become a black london horse''. I always wonder if he is one of them!
I think they are all very well behaved, you can practice for everything, but surely not the atmospheric crowd?!

Oh, and I thought Digger the WHW Clydesdale was performing in this?? I don't think his name was mentioned - unless they changed his name?

The was a commentator , not sure if his name, who has ridden several times in various parades , it made me smile that such and experienced rider said ' my heart would be in my mouth with the gun salute going off '!!!!!!!

Gives me hope that such things make the professionals even have a bit of nerves :)

What a wonderful sight

Spit and polish, spit and polish, spit and polish, spit and polish ...... I am bored already just typing it :D.

Apparantly after about 2 hours the gaurds boots are wrecked, all this hours if hard work undone in a matter of minutes!!

I think the barracks should take horses and ponies in for a boot camp! They'd make a killing and my Charles would be the first one signed up!!

Oooh, he has a royal name, he'd fit in :D :D
