As title says , cancelled today and possibly tomorrow too if the rain persists. We had a trade stand there so no go for us either. Such a shame as I really like the lancs show. I feel so sorry for this shows organisers as the weather never seems to be on their side.

Ooh, where have you heard this?
At the moment, only exhibitors are allowed on the site today, no public. As I understand, they're not making a decision until later in the day as to whether to cancel the rest of the completely.

they called us yesterday to say the ground was waterlogged , so we have made the decision not to bother exhibiting our trade stand as dont fancy trying to get one of the lorries out of a foot or so of soggy ground. They didnt mention to me about still going ahead for livestock etc exhibitors, but that may well be still the case.

great info quirky , I saw RLAS site earlier but i cant say i would fancy exhibiting today or over the weekend, it will be like a quagmire. I think the lancs is jinxed.

It would not suprise me at all if the whole thing was cancelled.

You're right - it must be jinxed. Does anyone remember the flood year at Astley Park? That was crazy!

At the moment show classes are going ahead. I live in Preston and we had a lot of rain yesterday, last night and has been raining all morning too - so no chance of the showground drying out for tomorrow. The forecast for Sunday is better so they might get one day running for the spectators. I bet they're wondering what on earth they have to do to actually get a show that actually takes place...

Will you get your trade stand fee back? I know there was a kick off last year as at first they refused to refund at all and then only refunded in part.

I had a nosy in your horseboxes at Cheshire County btw - very nice!!!!

Yes our fee has been returned, thanks for the compliment too ooo you should have said at cheshire you were HHO member- you could have had a glass of vino.

There were big signs up on the motorway informing drivers about the show being cancelled....I feel sorry for anyone who had driven a long way.
