Hi all

Went to Royal Leisure today, rather a hike but was worth it, they were still on the second class when we got there so did entries and settled down to watch.

Got to see the lovely Trike and Rambo

*hello again* always good to see another HHO'er not sure if anyone else was there.

Had long wait and finally got Saf out for the 1.05, for those who read my post at Tweseldown will remember how she galloped off with me Xc, we are back to basics and jumping in a fat KK snaffle
blush.gif
She actually warmed up like a SJ'er and went into the ring and went a bit green for the first two popping me out of the saddle at the second with a few vocals from me
blush.gif
and jumped a lovely round for just the one down, so pleased
smile.gif

On the strength of that decided to do the 1.10 our first go at that height indoors and she jumped an even better round just rolling a pole again

So very pleased with my girl, and I'm happy to be going in a snaffle again, Hopefully Medstead next week

Hi SAF !

Nice to have met you at RL
smile.gif

Sorry we couldn't hang around to see you jump, but we'd been up since the crack of dawn to get there for the first class. It's a 1:15mns drive from us, and the lorry didn't want to start either, so a bit of a rush all in all
grin.gif
Sounds like SAF went well, and was just unlucky for a pole in each.

Well, Trike was very green in there for his first time at RL. In the BN he was going sweetly enough until the first double (going away from home, and towards the scary glass fronted viewing area !). He decided to have a second look at the double (no. 5)....before jumping so mahooosive over it that he completely unseated me over the second part....and dumped me into the sand when he landed and took a look at the glass
shocked.gif
We then jumped the Discovery and he was a lil' star apart from an unlucky rub at No. 9 (Second last fence

). So, 4 faults but he went well
smile.gif

We were at RL too, saw Trike jump the discovery as you were a couple before me, he looked to go really well and was so unlucky to have that fence.
My mare was also a bit green but jumped clear in the first round of discovery and a 2 down in the jump off.

Went straight into the 1m open and apart from a braking issue between 2 and 3 where I had to pull up, reorganise and set of again jumped everything else fine.

Oh wow ! What do you / your horse look like !? We must have bumped into each other in the warm-up (it was chaos in there at times
blush.gif
).

Well done though, sounds like you did okay
smile.gif

It was pretty manic, I try to stay out of the way cos my horsey is so babyish she shoots backwards if another horse comes towards her!
She's dark bay wearing a nathe pelham, I was in a equiport jacket with blue collar.
Was going to say hello but thought it would sound sooo sad like 'Hi, I'm buckinghorse, are you Rambo?!' Could maybe wear one white bandage next time.........!

PMSL !

That's exactly what Saf said to me when she came over and introduced herself

I'm sorry to say, I don't recall you from your description....and wouldn't know what a Nathe pelham looked like either
blush.gif
But do say hi if you see us again...we don't bite
smile.gif

Thats brilliant, glad you had a good day

Took Hattie to RL to do the BN and had a pole down and i rode terribly so didnt have a great day!!! But it was nice to get out and about
smile.gif

Think I may have seen you, did you have roundings on the pelham? Lovely horse
grin.gif

Maybe we all need some sort of lapel badge, think pink carnations might be going to far

Oh didn't realise any of you were there. My daughter was there jumping on Sunday - you may have seen her - she's called Megan Williams and was riding firstly a horse called Cartier II (got eliminated, can't remember which class), and then she was on Opmars in a class and got four faults for running past the fence (hmm, bit of a steering problem) and then got a 3rd in the class after. Was a big blue lorry with CVME on it......did anyone see her?

Was it the really swish blue lorry !? Possibly Scania, possibly Oakley Supremacy body ? Parked in the lower half of the car park ?

Didn't see her jump unfortunately but do recall hearing of a horse called Cartier something over the tannoy
crazy.gif

Yep that's the one - think it's a Scania - it's blue, that's all I know! (I'm a girl!)

Apparently, Megs said that there was another Megan Williams there which is a bit weird.

We've only been there twice - last year was there for 3 days as Megan did BSJA silver training with Tony Newbery, then this time for competing.

Takes about 2 hours to get there, so unless there is something special on the schedule, doesn't seem a lot of point in making the trip. Just needed to get out on Sunday, which is why she went then.

Hopefully, you'll come to us one day!

LOL!

Yes, I do keep threatenning it don't i
blush.gif

It's so easy to keep going back to the places you know though....and I don't know why, but it always feels longer going east from us than west
crazy.gif
I guess the roads are slightly better to the west for us, but even so, it takes us 1:15mns to get to RL, so you could be closer than I thought
