Royal Welsh Cob Day! S4C Now

I'm watching and come on here while the break is on! :D My daughter is in the crowd somewhere so i'm trying to spot her.

The cobs look gorgeous, I like the black/dark bay the woman is running with, not sure of it's name though

Lol I can't pronounce any of the names!
I preferred the older stallion to the younger one that took the male championship and the young colt was very smart too but so glad the mare won the overall; she was sheer class.

I wouldn't want to use a stallion with a topline like that one had when it was stood up, was like a cut and shunt, looked horrid; both the older stallion and the young colt were miles better I thought, at least through the TV screen they were.

I only watched the trot ups of the junior stallion class and I was not a fan of the one initially pulled in first. Much preferd 2nd and 4th. Anyone know if that ended up the final line up or did the judge change it around a bit?

I also LOVED the Sec A Stallion that won the A Championship. Wasn't so keen on the broodmare but didn't really see any of the other A's.

We went up for the day, every year the hair on the back of my neck stands on end as they come pounding past lol (always against the fencing). Highly recommended day out!!

spent the last couple of days glued to the computer watching the judging live on s4c. Sadly I have to go back to work tomorrow so will miss the last day :(
Had to miss going to the show this year but watching the stallions is the most goose bumping experience ever. I just love showing a pony in that main ring, brilliant experience :)

I didn't see all of it, unfortunately, but did wonder why the stallions had short tails.
Anyone know?

It's not just the stallions. All C's and D's have their tails strimmed and trimmed though I do think they are going a bit extreme on the shortness and the lack of thickness to the tails this year.

I feather my D's tail, and did my C's when I had her but they always went to below the hock and were full thickness. I'm not a fan of the whispy ones.
