Royal Welsh.

It's on S4C now and all day til 7pm. Tomorrow is Cob Day, well worth watching - you can get sub-titles too!

Don't need subtitles :p;)

I'm not competing but my yard manager is riding in the hunt scurry. Shame i couldn't get time off work, they're staying overnight to watch the cobs tomorrow, too :( There's not much that measures up to watching the stallions go round there :)

we went last year for 3 days, but just getting into the show itself was a totall nightmare (we came in from south wales side) And its a great show but it is to expensive to get in, 20.00 then their is no where to sit as you have to pay an extra £5.00 to sit in the grandstand.

Also i am also put off by all the drunk young farmers that also attend their, when you take children to these shows the last thing i want to see is people fighting and drinking cans of larger, swearing and falling all over the place.

Also being farmers the icing on the cake was seeing a stand that was Mc Donalds and also Tesco stand saying "supporting Welsh Farmers" as if they have totally destroyed the dairy industry (along with other supermarkets)

found it ;)

eta- found it but im just getting a black screen but can hear people speaking in welsh.

It's channel 134 I think.

Also, I hope Nokia doesn't put people off going to the show by their comments. We've been going nigh on 40 years and although we're only day trippers, don't stay there, we've never come across the drunken behaviour she found while we've been on the main showground at all. There's something there for everyone and you have to be early to grab a place around the main ring when it's Cob Time!

My friend is there with 2 of her cobs.

:( Not fair I only have freeview and can't get S4C. I wanna watch. lol

We only have Freeview (but we do have a Sky box, just no Sky programmes if that makes a difference)and get it easily and it can't be distance that causes your problems as we can get any local programme we want even Scottish and Irish ones.

I wish I was going! I know The Welsh Cob isn't the typey-ist cob around but its something of a dream of mine to ride in a cob class at the Royal Welsh!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'd offer you F tbc... but he would look even more out of place :p his dad was second senior stallions in hand.... he takes after his mum obv

I love it! £95 for a family membership (2 adults and up to 4 children) for entry for the whole week and entry to the members area of the grandstand, bargain! If not then squeeze yourself in along the rail  Or sit on the hill :p

We travel from Essex and stay for the whole week, nothing better! Gutted when the week comes to an end. Watching those stallions fly in on wednesday gives me shivers :D
