Anyone got one or had one? I'm in France and a relatively local saddlery stocks them and has the right size in, whereas the WOW Freespace is a special order and is literally going to take months to come so I'd love it if anyone has tried the RP, or even both, if they could go give an opinion.

I definitely can't afford to get this wrong!

Thanks, funnily enough I've just seen a thread on FB about them - some people rate them, but not enough info on fit for me to take a 300 pound punt.

I'll have to try to call the saddle fitter who might have the Free Space as she didn't answer my message last week.

I fitted for a horse last week that had always been in an H girth, then a Freespace but at the fitting the former was worrying me with his past occurrences of ulcers and the second is way too complicated to centre with a saddle fitting appointment needing to girth up sometimes 5-10 times, and the horse went brilliantly in a straight (elbow shaping only) sheepskin girth from Mattes. Girths are a headache even for me as a fitter!

France is way behind in saddle fitting - just 10 years ago there were none who would come to me - in fact none within a four hour radius as I'd have gone to them! Fifteen years ago, I would get asked where my saddle was when I would turn up for lessons at riding schools - only the novices didn't have their own saddles. I went onto to shares and only two actually let me use their saddles ... I hope it is changing but the saddle fitters are very in demand and I don't know anywhere that trials of girths or bits.

I consider myself lucky to have a good bit fitter and saddle fitter locally now.
