They still do them at Jollyes, they were in stock when I bought a mood ring...er, slip lead last week.
A slip lead should do the trick if you are stuck and won't break as much hair.

So we can expect to see even more people being dragged round by their little darlings in the future. Probably all wearing harnesses which I fail to believe stop pulling, surely they are designed to make pulling easier

I have a million slip leads H_H, but I don't like using them on Beastie, the chain suits her more

I shall check out Jollyes at the weekend,t hansk

Oh totally with you on that one MurphysMinder! Or those terrible haltis

half the time they're poking the poor dog in the eye.

It will calm her down and improve her bond with you and make her walk to heel like an angel.
Or you could stick her in a zapper collar, shake a rattle bottle in her face and scruff her

I ended up finding my original slip lead the day after I replaced it. It was sitting under the tree that I had to climb up because I had thrown a ball too high, it had caught in the branches and the dog was going mad trying to get it - spoilt, him?!

they don't sell slip leads either
mad.gif
just every colour imaginable of collar and lead sets, haltis and harnesses! I think last time I looked they did have some half checks....probably stopped doing them now as well.

Oh I do hope not T, I can see why some people have a problem with the full chains, but what on earth could anyone find wrong with a half-check?
(Hoping to get some nice leather ones back from Germany soon, yay!)

I hate you!!! I got a big red one for B (wanted the thin kind but the ring wasn't big enough to let the lead slide through properly

) for almost £7.

me too!

I went in there to get one a while ago though...can't remember why, I have tonnes of them at home. We must have been on the way to somewhere and been a lead short or something. I was well miffed that they didn't sell them...if they did they would prob be about £12 each anyway!

Yea I know, but they obviously aren't popular to their clientele as they only had one type in one colour shoved in a corner of the display!

Pets At Home have lots of half checks but I've never used one and not sure how to fit it correctly?

Beastie has more respect for a check chain than normal collar and walks perfectly to heel but it gives me that little bit more control if required.

It's just a check chain that can't fully close, the webbing ones can be adjusted to fit the dog, if you need it to be worn high on the neck for training purposes. I prefer leather, and it can be used in the 'dead' position if need be, like a full check.
Most GSD people show in them.

My personal favourite collar there is. Loose when it needs to be but can only close a certain tightness when checking or excerting control, or if it ever gets caught on anything.
