Apologies if this been done, but two page spread in Sunday Mail re RSPCA putting down healthy animals, they are really getting some stick lately. I wonder how many people who have signed up to their home for life thing if owner dies will be having second thoughts. I certainly would. I know there are too many animals for homes available, but that £330,000
spent on prosecuting the Heythrop would have built a good few kennels etc

My opinion is divided on this and if its in the daily fail I may as well use the pages to light my fire with than get all het up about it.

sadly it isn't saying anything about them I haven't heard before.... a friend used to sneak unweaned and abandoned pups out & hand rear them because her centre manager told her to "get rid" as they'd be too much work to get them to an point where they could rehome them & make some money back.

She did a bloody good job & found every one a forever home, it's people like that who deserve our donations & support, not that bunch of idiots

I too am not a great fan of the Daily Mail but this articles really does have some weight behind it. I disagree very strongly with them using money to go after hunts. When they run adverts they don't show that do they? Just the poor animals needing your money.. In my personal experience they are quick to PTS. In contrast you have the unpaid volunteers busting the proverbial to get abandoned dogs into rescue. I know there are some dogs where PTS is the only option, just seems to me the RSPCA have a much shorter criteria..massive shame for the genuine people who work and do great things within this organisation but the feeling against the RSPCA is beginning to really gather strength. Please can it return to what we all believe it should be..
