RSPCA CONFISCATES CHILD !!! strange story !

[ QUOTE ]
There is a proven link between animal abuse and child abuse and the RSPCA work closely with the police/ social services if they feel that children may be at danger in a home.

This theory has been discredited on the grounds that you cannot extrapolate from the exceptional back to the normal.

There has to be more to this story than meets the eye; it was actually a judge who made the order for the child to be adopted not social services.
But the article does state that the judge was concerned that the parents put their own welfare before their child's, the father had threatened staff at her school & frightened her on a visit. The house was covered in rabbit entrails & animal poo, the parents claim this happened during the RSPCA raid, do they seriously expect people to believe the police/RSPCA inspector did this?

There is more. See:

Note that the father was angry because he had been told that the teacher had hit the child. Also that the RSPCA brought charges relating to the conditions in the house, only to find that their own photos showed that was not true.

god willing this awful thing gets sorted !! they should have gone to their mp and the press long before !! that poor poor child . what a b---dy country this is now

Actually this link has been proved... RSPCA officers do work closely with social services only because they go into peoples houses to give advise/attend complaints regarding animals, they are put into situations where there could be problems with regard to children, (living condition/cruelty/abuse etc), if the officer is worried at all then they report it to social services. It is then up to social services to deal with accordingly, the only thing the rspca officer may do is give an initial witness statement as to the conditions, this would be the same for a postman, meter reader etc etc, any job which takes you into another persons home. This decision to refuse the return of the child etc would certainly have nothing to do with rspca!! And yes if there was a raid then police would have been there and it would have been the police who put the girl into social services care NOT rspca!!!!!

Sorry just read the story and WHERE do you get the title of your post here RSPCA confiscates child?????!!!!!! Nowhere in the story does it say this, only that she was taken into care during an RSCPCA raid by POLICE!!!!!!! And has no one else read the bit about dirty nappies, syringes etc etc etc......

i think you will find that the dirty nappies and syringes etc refer to a place where social services had the parents visit the child !!!!!! please correct me if im wrong. i would very much like to believe that all is above board in this story but i think that it appears not to be. i think the point of the title of the post is that the story in the mail made this seem the case.

if you look at my post in the dog section you will see that the local council is likely to do sweet f a

[/ QUOTE ]

I think that realy depends on the policy of the council in question. Often people report illegal dog breeding and claim the council has done sweet FA when in fact they have visted and found the breeding to be at a level outside of regulation.
