Hey guys!!


So my interview went A-mazing!! I was so proud of my self.

I got on really well with all the staff and the Yard Supervisor.

There were loads of foals and they were all gorgeous :) The pony I had to do my TPR and Trot up with was a pretty black gypsy cob she was a bit naughty and reared once with me - hence her name Rea - and tried to tank of a couple of times but she was much easier to handle than the 17hh+ hunt horses I used to work with :) Staff were really impressed with how I handled her calmly :D

There were two other girls there, they were nice and friendly but they had trouble with there TPR etc so had to wait half an hour after I was done for them to finish :( :)

So fingers crossed, I will know by either Friday or Monday next week at the latest.

So happy I thought I was going to be sick, seen as my first interview for the E.mascott hall was when I was 15.... and iv worked there ever since but I was pleased I didn't get my words muddled :) and I was able to explain everything in detail so I hope I came across like I knew what I was talking about and not some waffling fool :)

Anyway just wanted to share my news and happy vibes :) Have a lovely week and will let you all know either way if I get it or not :D

Glad your interview went well - sounds promising :-)

A bit surprised you can go to work for a society who are so vehemently and politically anti hunting when you've been working with hunters for so long.

If you yourself are anti hunting then I apologise and accept your views. If not, then I struggle to understand.
 
Oooooh, great news. Thanks for the update, well done you for keeping calm, I'm sure that'll stand you in good stead. Can't wait to hear how you've got on!!!

Is there really a need? Honestly?

I own a 'hunter' type horse, and show in 'hunter' type dress, yet I support the work of the RSPCA - is that allowed spacefaer?

Well done OP! My horsey ex went to an interview with the donkey sanctuary and was so stressed that he tried to put the headcollar on upside down lol, but he still got the job ;) Sounds like you have aced it, good luck!

Aw dear! Well luckily I didn't do that ;) I was really relaxed for the practical it was the formal part of the interview that had me stressed ;) but I managed not to fidget and answer all the questions.

I did have a melt down at one - When a horse is lame does its head go up or down on its lame leg.... I luckily said up but still had to have a few seconds trying to imagine it... :D but they didn't mind.. luckily :)

Thanks can't wait to find out will probably get OH to open the letter it will either say I've got it or I haven't ... :)

No its fine everyone is entitled to there opinion :)

I've always wanted to work for the RSPCA ever since I was little, my job on the hunt yard was just a good thing at the right time :) and at the time I loved working with all the horses.

I hope so I felt in my element in the practical and I think that was where I made my main impression - I got on with all the staff really well including the yard supervisor :D xx
