Rub marks on clipped grey horse

Hi everyone,
My Connie has just been clipped and we forgot to leave squares on her sides for my legs
Last year she got rub marks where my legs go so I want to know if there’s anything that you do to prevent or help this.
It never gets sore just the hair is rubbed away a bit (not right down to skin)
It’s more of an aesthetic issue really.
Through your suggestions at me!

You could get a belly band to stop your legs rubbing. I think some showjumpers use them to help stop spur marks.

A little spray of show shine or Supreme products do a spray that conditions to prevents rubs without slipperiness - I’d say show shine is best at stopping rubs anywhere though

Charlie Horse used to wear a bath towel at coat change time to prevent rubs, under the saddle so it hung down.

Ariat suede chaps with premier equine boots. Not really any rough or sharp bits

I wouldn’t worry too much yet - they coat is still growing quite a lot at this time of year and so if you clip again around Christmas and leave the patches there you should get away with it
