Just been out to check poppy - between 6 pm and just now she has rubbed herself raw just above her tail - an area about 3cm across- (probably rubbed against a tree). She is ok in herself, grazing, she "showed" me what she had done, but wont let me touch it. It's not bleeding. She does like her back scratched, but what could have made her rub to such an extent? Coat clean, groomed this afternoon (but then she went off and rolled).

No, She's in an orchard with sheep - its weird cos it's almost circular. She shied away from the torch & I didn't want to upset her. I am assuming she has stood under a low branch and just gone stupid rubbing away! There is quite a bit of shed hair over her back end which looks like she's had a good itch!

The flies were awful tonight when I brought in. My boy started rubbing his chest and mane on the stable door. Its suddenly gone really mild again
