Some help please.
We have a horse box and are looking to replace the carpet on the ramp with the liquid rubber that you can now buy. My horse slipped going up the ramp the other day (on the bit at the top without the carpet) and ended up falling off the box. Thankfully she only got a very grazed leg and then promptly loaded after(!!) but it did shake me up a bit as you can imagine and has made me think that a rubber surface would be better and hopefully prevent this in the future.
I however know absolutely nothing about this and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on the following:
Which is best rubber cement or straight forward rubber mats.
Does the rubber paint stuff completely seal the wood? Or will it rot underneath it?
Will either of these be too heavy for the ramp?
Any recommended brands?
Any advices very much appreciated!
Thanks,
