Hi,
I'd like to get some rubber matting for pony's new stable. Have no idea where is best to get it from or what is the best type. Have seen so many ads and websites I thought I wld ask ppl for their opinions and experiences.

Hi ya,

I have kitted out two stables with matts from a guy off ebay called the 'the rubber shop'
Always go for matts that are 18mm thick or more as they need to be this thick to withstand the horse over time and resist moving.
Mine cost me £24 each (4ft by 6ft) by far the cheapest I've found and are excellent quality. I've had them for 3 yrs now, never moved in stable and have no wear marks what so ever.
Hope this helps?

Another vote for Fieldguard.

I bought some of their mats with the slightly raised pattern on, rather than the bobbles, as the bobbly ones can be harder to sweep.

I love these mats. Bought a knife with them to cut them to size. They don't move at all and horsey don't slip on them even when mats are wet.
