I went to look at a new yard today and although not as flash as my current one has everything I need and more grazing and less bitchy comments.

Only thing is the stables dont have any matting down and I would want to put this is in but already have a headache from browsing the internet!! Found the following on ebay can you let me know what you think ??

Thanks ( think you will have to C+P the link as I dodn't know how else to do it ;-)

They are only 3ft square so you'd need 16 to do a 12x12 stable, bringing the cost to £265

I don't like the heavy rubber - I'd go for EVA :) I'd also go for purpose designed horse mats not 'dual purpose' gym mats

I bought these before Xmas and they are excellent, good quality, easy to move around as although they are sold as 6' x 4' they come in half as you lock them together yourself so it was MUCH easier and lighter (although still heavy!) to lay them.

The company were really helpful too and delivered the next day at normal courier rates!

I didn't order through ebay, I just rang the number and ordered direct instead.

:)

I thought they were quite small too.

I have done four stables out with mats from Horsemat.co.uk. I went for the croctop ones with the little feet underneath which are excellent for drainage. From memory I think each stable was around £250/£300 including delivery. I didn't do them all at once and I think the first ones have been down for nearly three years and there is not a mark on them.

I second these - my original ones are just starting to show wear after over four years of a 16.1 stabled every night.
I will be getting more when I get the new block built.
