Ive just fitted my boys stable out with EVA mats, you know the lovely thick springy type. Except what I didnt realise it that the drainage isnt great, well none existentant. The actual bed that he lies on is fantastic (so simple to much out now) as all the wee drains underneath, except it starts to ooze out of the front, Im worried about it damaging the mats so Im now lifting the front mat every day. My horse smells lovely and I stink of wee!
What can I do? Obviously I cant alter the drainage of the stable, could I put something (shavings? Straw?) under the matting?
I love my matting its fantastic and I dont want to take it out but really Id rather not have week creeping out under the front! I suppose I could put another bit of mat right up to the do and I wont notice it but that doesnt solve the issue long term really.
HELP!
