Rubber matting fork

Have recently put down rubber matting and have started to use wood pellets in my stable, is there anywhere to buy a rubber matting fork to make mucking out easier that won't break the bank, as I have only been able to find ones that cost £30 min.

Got mine from Countrywide Farmers for about £15 - I guess you mean a plastic shavings fork? I think they range between £12-£15

I just use a regular metal fork.

I've got a Fynalite rubber matting fork. Had it for about 7 years and it's still going strong. Not cheap but worth it, perhaps look out for a 2nd hand one.

I second the Fynalite rubber matting one! Pricey but i've had mine for years now and still going strong whereas before I got it, the number of cheapy forks I went through, would have paid for another Fynalite!!

I didnt even know rubber matting forks even existed! lol

Ive got rubber matting down in my stables and have never had any problems with using a metal fork/shovel/shavings fork.

Could only see it being a problem if your matting is really really thin but then it would kind of defeat the idea of having rubber matting in the first place.

The Fynalite metal prongs are joined in pairs into a u shape at the bottom so no sharp points to stick into the matting.

Ive got a rubber matting fork.

its brilliant and i know i wont stab my matting!

yes it was £30 but its about 8 years old and still going very strong.
So well worth it!

Another for future forks. We got one each for Christmas and It's made mucking out 8 so much easier!

I have ridiculously expensive triple-layered, sealed rubber matting in Kal's stable - on the floor and three feet up the wall - and I use a regular (metal-pronged) shavings fork AND a heavy straw fork to muck out with no mishaps. That could, though, have something to do with the fact that he has a really deep straw bed.

Fyna-lite forks are just about to lanch a brand new pellet fork!
Can't wait to see what they have come up with....
At the moment i'm using a future fork as its the best available atm
