Rubber Matting maintenance

I recently bought rubber matting and it covers nearly all but a foot of the stable which is 12x14
Its good quality but i havent got it sealed and it isnt the sort that locks together. How often do i need to pull it up and clean underneath and what is the best bedding to use on it

I lift my once a year and scrub out and disinfectant the stable, scrub and disinfectant the mats and put them back down once the floor is dry. I use shavings with mine

Providing there is a slighty fall on the floor of your stable so that pee runs away you don't really need to lift your mats any more than once a year & then thoroughly clean the floor & mats with jeyes or similar. As for bedding we've used shavings or cushionbed with good results.
