Rubber matting - what is the best thickness?

anyone know? I don't wantr to throw money away, but neither do I want it to fall apart quickly - it seems to come in all sorts of mm thickness and is leaving me in a pickle about what's the best value. Any thoughts?

personally I preffer 18mm

18mm is teh recommended thickness for horses. Any thinner and it has a bit of a tendency to move as the horses stand and lie down,

Mine is 18mm and is heavy but just about moveable.... by me and merlin though

Stays in place well enough though... and he is a twirly boy in the stable

It depends on the material, because if it is pure rubber then something like 18mm is good but if it is EVA then you would want it thicker.
