I was looking at rubber matting, I very much doubt I can afford it any time soon.
But I just wanted to know where you can buy it from? What are the different types? Are there pros and cons of the different ones or do they all work the same?
I don't have a clue how big my stable is but would like an approximate price, for a stable to be matted out.
Any other information you can think of? I know nothing about rubber matting

There was a big thread on this Sunday/yesterday if you have a search you may find the information you are looking for on there - I remember lots of costs and website being posted.

I have cow mats, but I'm common

Rubber matting is excellent - saves loads of time... Though you do end up with a much grubbier horse..

LOL Not kidding. My bay is a clean boy but the grey likes to sleep right where he wees. He's a bit yellow some mornings!

I have had 2 types of rubber matting. The stuff at my old yard was waterproof so any excess pee just drained out the door but did make it very slippy if it got wet, esp. in winter with mud. The stuff I have now is a friends old stuff she has in a previous stable. This one doesn't appear to be waterproof and instead absorbs and drains the pee through it meaning it gets very smelly. This is why I've had to start trying deep littering to try and help with the smell! I think if you manage to find the right sort that suits the type of bed you want to have then its great stuff. Happy hunting!
