i am in the same situation, just had a new stable put up that is pretty much double the size of my old one (not that big only 12x12 but other was like 10x8 so seems really big lol) and ive oly got 10x8 worth of stable matting but no more money !! lol
best bet is to look on ebay. they do pretty good deals on there. thats what im doing. hope this helps, better than spending like £40 per bloody matt
I think mine are from the black mat company - or at least they are the same as the ones they sell. I paid £40 a sheet and needed 5 to do my 12x10 stable. I've got the thick really heavy stuff with nobbles on.
I got some super thick rubber matting free from the council, they were replacing it from a childrens play area. It's been brilliant so far. Might be worth giving your local council a ring to see if there's any going spare?
I've got EVA cow mats, they're cheaper than ones sold for horses and I've found them really good. They seem really durable, but my horse is barefoot, don't know what they would be like with shod horses. They're really light and easy to lift when necessary and you can easily trim them to get a perfect fit. Can't recommend them highly enough!!
