I love Stubben + Jeffries but they do seem to be stiffer (or more robust) than most, Mark Todd were better feel but mine only lasted about 3 years before the rubber perished and went 'sticky', have you though of the dressage style with rubber one side and leather the other? I've also got what are called 'event reins' much softer to the hand and very grippy, however they are not ver comfortable without gloves!!

Eventa reins!! all the way!! they a lovely. rubber grip ones are too big for my small hands. and they are sometimes too grippy and hurt a bit! Eventa's are £45 in the shops but i got a brand new pair from a shop on Ebay was so chuffed!
