Haven't bought any rubber stable matting for a while.

Can anyone help in making a recommendation of what's good at the moment?

Appox price?

Thanks.

I got mine on eBay - the horse's stable cost me £180 and the pony one cost £90. The matting for the pony stable was cheap because it is only suitable for small, unshod ponies though

These people are brilliant. Specialist horse mats and not the cheap variety being touted on other sites, these last and stand up to a lot of abuse.

Got both wall and floor mats from them and they have been brilliant. I got the top of the range ones (big active horse) and with del the cost was just over £30 per 6x4 but they start much cheaper than that if you want the thinner ones.

Very helpful and worth a call.

If you want mats that drain, can be used with little or no bedding, last for years - my first set was bought in 1994 and is now in a field shelter and my other set is in the stable, now 7 years old and the stable is the clydesdale one, and they have no signs of wear and tear, then I can't recommend Stablelite enough.

Downside - very heavy to lift but they don't move or wear. I take mine up once a year and it can be done single handed, but ideally is a two person job.

Pros - soft, warm, drain, last for years and you fit them with a power saw like carpet tiles so you can cut them to fit any odd shapes.

Just been on the phone to them as I am doing Chancer's stable now and they are £29 a mat plus VAT - not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. The number is 01795 842110
