Rubber topping for Manege - which one?

Just wanted to share our yards experience.
They did silica sand and rubber mix. All was well for a few years but it went very very deep and was hard work to walk on let alone ride on as it looked like the rubber had gone to the bottom and all the sand on the top. In the winter it rode very well but when the weather was dry it was awful. They then topped it up and I believe it cost thousands for more rubber. It has been so much better since but is still a bit deep. It is looked after and rolled regular.
When topping it up they looked at different types of rubber but were advised against strips as it can be slippy.
Sorry cant be of any more help.

Springride shred is fantastic, i had it at my last place and chose it again here, only thing is that if you are in a very windy area it does blow away. if not though it is really really good, at my yard in Staffs mine was the only arena for miles around that didn't freeze solid when we had a really big freeze, and it never tracked at all (could put numerous horses through a grid and not even be able to see take-off and landing spots), but here because so much has blown away (argh) it doesn't ride as well... still secure as anything but get a bit deeper, and needs levelling more often, that's all though. one big advantage with it is that because the rubber pieces are soft they don't rattle if horse kicks them against a filler, the wall etc... makes a big difference on spooky youngsters! it knits together well and stays on top.
