My boy is 15 ive had him since a 4 year old and about 2 years ago he started itching his head until it bled, this was spring time. Didnt do any other part of his body. He had been on box rest for lig damage. We assumed mites treated him anbout 4 times (Even threw rugs out). No better then removed things from his diet. removed haylage and he was fine, few weeks later someone feed him haylage in error and it started again also vet confirmed haylage allegy. so we fed him Naf detox for a while and was all fine - turned away - no fly rug or protection all through summer and no problems. then he is back home and in work and started about 6 months ago. but again found out someone had given him haylage in the morning. 3 days ago this has now started again - this time no haylage anywere near him. So am now questioning if it ever was haylage. If I use steriod cream on his face it does ease it. But I cant get to the bottom of it this time, his face is getting worse and I worry he will injur his eye it so cut and swollen in a few days. can anyone shed some light on this please - thanks in advance

Have you corrolated the itching with any weather pattern. Its been very humid in the UK recently (just returned from there) and its the sort of weather that fungal infections love.

We get it here frequently because the area I live in has a hghish humidity - similar to what I experienced at the weekend.

Try washing his face with Nizoral Shampoo, dilute with hand hot water and lather up well with a face cloth. Work well into the hair down to the skin. Leave for 10 minutes and rinse off.

Should stop the itching within a few hours, healing will be fast and hair regrowth in a few weeks.
