This weather has been a bit of a nightmare for us.... because of the state of the turnout fields and not being able to use the school my mare has been in more than out of her stable, she has a Mark Todd heavy turnout rug with full neck and because of the recent -10 temp I have kept it on her in her stable, she has rubbed both shoulders of all hair down to her skin (although not to the point of being sore) and her hindend also rubbed away... she has also rubbed down one side of her face and under her chin.... oh my poor girly looks like a neglegted rescue pony.... I have some Camrosa cream but it gets rubbed off because of the rug... I cannot bathe her in these freezing temps and also think her face rubbing may be boredom!! anyone else have this problem????
