Rubbing mane !!!

My show horse mane has been rubbed so very little mane at the bottom now !! And got shows coming up !! I have stopped putting his necks
Rugs on incase that is causing it, any ideas on encouraging his mane to grow back ?!!! Thanks x x

My highland rubbed out part of his mane because of an attack of sweet itch so know how you feel. Get some Megatek - available from www.tailgator.co.uk.

.... Dilute 1 part Megatek to 4 parts water and apply daily with a spray especially at the roots and work through with a brush. Amazing stuff for hair regrowth. You can put it on undiluted but it's very thick and sticky so better diluted to avoid too much build up.

When you pull his mane or trim tail, keep the hair and make a fake plait. Then when you have a show use lots of gel to gather the remaining mane and sew the fake plait on top.
It could be sweet itch if it has been over 12 degrees where you are recently.

Megatek did wonders when my gelding had horrible rug rub. And it smells really nice too!
