Sadly lost my baby in the week. He was only 2 and a half. Probable cause was a tumour but didn't have a post mortem so won't know for sure but symptoms and reaction to treatment all point to this. The next stage in his treatment if he wasn't responding was a biopsy. He did seem to be responding to treatment but in the space of a few hours went from relaxed and eating to giving up. RIP Sid
I didn't breed him but keep my horse at the stud he was bred at. I got him to replace the foal my horse lost- I must of been really bad in a former life !

This is Sid a few days old

Run free little Squidly 😘

Oh, so sorry, he looks like a lovely chap . It's hard enough loosing an older horse but even more heart breaking when it's only a baby and barely had a chance to experience life. *hugs*

So very sorry to hear your sad news. He looks so relaxed in his photos,a credit to you x
RIP little man.<<<((((({{{{warm virtual hugs}}}})))))>>>>

What a horrible thing to happen. Take time for yourself as it is a truly awful thing to happen especially when so young. I hope you can soon take comfort from photos and your short time together and be pleased that you were able to give him a good life for the time that you had him. x

Thank you :smile3: gutted for his breeder to, I still felt he was still a bit hers (but in a good way) Lots of tears and snot going on, not attractive.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Some years ago I lost my 3 year old to a tumour and also let her breeder know who was also upset.

So sorry for your poor wee man, as it is never easy and he had such a long life ahead. run fee squidly catch the wind :(

I am so sorry for you. I lost my homebred yearling last week to intestinal tumours so I know exactly what you're going through.
Although I'm doing is remembering what an awesome life she had, albeit far too short. You did the right thing for him.
