Can't see that this has been posted anywhere but forgive me if I've missed it. Ruby Walsh suffered a broken leg in a fall at Down Royal on Saturday afternoon. Tony McCoy is favourite to take over the ride on Kauto Star in the King George.
 
I had heard he was out but didnt know why! Ohh bugger :(

As much as admire AP, i dont think him and Kauto work as a pair!
 
Apparently Sam Thomas could be in line to get the ride back on Denman whilst Ruby is out of action - wondered if they had jocked off AP in favour of Sam but looks like he's now got the ride on Kauto instead.

Which could be interesting - don't think he's ridden Kauto before and his and Ruby's style are pretty different so it will be interesting to see how Kauto goes for him...
 
I think Kauto is more likely to bypass the Hennessy and go straight to the King George though nothing is definite yet as far as I know.

With regard to the AP/Kauto combo I don't think he's ridden the horse either
 
Oops sorry no AP hasnt ridden Kauto Star in a race before, I was thinking of Denman *doh* I still dont think it would work...

Sam Thomas has raced him before though..twice, the first time he won, the 2nd unseated him.
