Rubys first yard visit.

Bless little Ruby, 13 weeks yesterday so we took her to the yard for the first time this afternoon. It was her first trip in the puppy cage in the back of the car with the collie and apart from sicking up a few biscuits I think she rather enjoyed it.

The yard was really busy but she met lots of new friends and a nice lab and had lots of cuddles.

She was a bit overwhelmed I think - its not usually that manic - but she seems happy enough now she is home to eat a load of dog biscuit and have a good old play.

Lead training starts next weekend!

Yay! Nice to hear about pups being socialised properly.

Our friends tiny baby pups (they aren't so tiny any more!) went everywhere with them in the trailer, up and down the country (they compete with an older dog) to get them used to travelling and new situations, they are bold as anything now and they are only about 20 weeks.

Hard to believe you've had her five weeks already. Time flies!

I have decided that I'm going to take Harvey to school with me every morning, come January. He has his first jab on the 18th, so will be able to have his second before the children go back to school.

I want to get him 100% used to the car from a young age. I didn't have a car when Jasper was little. When I did have eventually have a car, he was a nightmare traveller. Cried constantly!

Harvey will be in the crate in the boot from day one....start as I mean to go on!

How's the house training going?
 
House training is going very well. Totally dry at night and tries very hard to remove the door from its hinges if you arent quick enough to let her out for a pee during the day. We have the odd puddle but she really is trying very hard to be clean bless her.
