Rude car drivers!

I was victim of a very rude driver today I was going down a 100m long strip of a road, to get from country lane to bridleway, and had a driver stop beside me and say "Whats wrong with all these fields then you *********g fat trollop". Needless to say I was speechless, she then proceeded to speed off sticking her finger up at me out of the window.

I was on the side of the road, thanking those who passed and not being a nuisance, all this just because she had to slow down for a few seconds? Very angry!

Now, I got the first 4 letters/numbers of her registration plate and make/colour of car. Is this enough to report it, if not is there any way I can try and find out the rest of the plate, I don't feel she should get away with this!!

on the other hand i find horse riders very rude these days, i always thank drivers when im out riding but i slowed right down for a couple of people on horses yesterday and neither of them said thank you so im not surprised that drivers are getting rude as after id taken the time to slow down i didnt even get thanked for it! makes me not want to bother and thats coming from a horse rider!!
