Anyone use one? We took Spud over Striding Edge yesterday and he was revelling in it (apart from the times when we had to wait for people, at which point he protested loudly... If I had a pound for every time I explained that he wasn't scared, he was frustrated to be stood about I'd be rich:rolleyes:). However there were a couple of points where a handle would have been useful, as he had to be lifted up.

The Ruffwear ones look ideal, but they are very expensive! Just want to know they are worth the money. Then I just need to save up for one before our next scrambling excursion:D

Not sure how well the ruff wear harness would lift a dog. I know some people use them for fly all. I would want to try one before spending a lot of money

As long as the neck and chest are well fitted and padded I don't think that extra strap is really necessary (and especially not if it costs that much extra :p). I pick mine up by their Manmat harnesses when necessary to no ill effect and they're a lot bigger than a spangle.

i bought a ruffwear harness and its brand new never been used? you're right they cost a fortune but they had such good reviews. my pointy dog looked funny in it. i just have her in a simple SASS harness now. i wonder if it'd fit yours? i think its small?

They aren't that expensive and come in many sizes.

I found Ruffwear stuff are very expensive and not that great. I paid £45 for a pair of booties for Joey and he destroyed them in 7 days, then I found a pair in Amazon made by Trixie, cost me £16 and lasted a bit longer, and were better cos they were higher with double Velcro.
