I have a section D welsh cob who is quite broad on the shoulders. he wears a 6ft Weaterbeeta fly rug but it is starting to rub on his shoulders.

Would I be better to get him a slightly larger size,e.g. 6ft 3, would this give him more room in the shoulder, he does only just fit a 6ft rug so length wise this shouldn't be a problem?

Also he does not have much of a wardrobe so I am thinking this might be a good time of year to look for heavier weight turnouts and stable rugs for the winter....any suggestions on makes that would be a good fit....

Mark todd do rugs that fit horses with broad chests brilliantly. Premier Equine is obviously incredibly good as well

Hi

My Sec D was "only just" fitting into her 6ft rugs at Easter so I went out and bought her a couple of 6'3"s.

Weatherbeeta Landa - fantastic, fits her absolutely perfectly - I've never had a Weatherbeeta before and am well impressed with it.

Masta Checktech (sp). Now then - there is a bit of an "anti-Masta" contingency on this site

, but must say that both of my Sec D's have worn then and I personally have found them to be an excellent fit for the big-shouldered horse. I have never had one that rubbed, ripped or leaked (although my ponies are very careful with their rugs!) and would definitely recommend them for other Sec D owners.

why is there anti masta cuz i brought two when i brought my pony 1 trunout never leaked rubbed ripped its just as good as new and has never been cleaned and the stable one has just been off to be dry cleaned and yet a gain now looks just as good as when i brought
