Rug advice please...

I'm new to all this and it's my first thread!

Looking for advice about whether to have cotton lined, nylon lined or polyester lined rugs - what is the difference between them all? Pros and Cons?....help please!

I personally much prefer nylon linings. Obviously the rug must be a good fit, but I've had no rubbing with nylon lined rugs and need to use a Bossy's bib (to prevent rubbing) with cotton lined rugs.

Nylon lined are better, slide against your horses coat, dont get hairs sticking to them and dont get stable stains on like you do with cotton lined ones.

nylon lined can make the horses hotter and sweaty, Cotton linings allow the horses coat to breathe.

again all depends on quality of the rugs in question.

Thanks for this, yes that was also my thoughts about cotton being more breathable but then can also understand that nylon slides over the coat better so does not rub! May need to try one of each out for now?!
