Rug cleaning service in Herts

I need wash and reproof for 2-3 turnouts.

Where do you recommend and how much is it?

It's not Herts but close, i used pednor rugs, near Chesham for mine, depends what side of Herts you are in.

I think it was £11 for a stable rug £22 ish for turnout and repairs as quoted but they were friendly and quick.

I can't think of the other one, near watford might be worth a search online, when i was looking i didn't find too many in the county.

were in chesham but send ours to tack haven ie TC Feeds near whipsnade. I think they are cheaper than pednor but don't quote me

I take mine to tc feeds/tackhaven, cant remember exact prices but around £5.00/£6.00 for a wash i think and very similar for waterproofs ect.

TC feeds is definitely the cheapest place for cleaning, but be warned; If you have a very hairy monster they don't de-hair the rugs. Also, I don't think the cleaning service by TC feeds is as thorough as other places, and some of my rugs came back a bit smelly. However for the price I am not complaining, and my horses soon made them filthy again anyway.

You could try Horseworld nr Wheathampstead, when they last did mine they came back beautifully clean. Was a while back tho and cant remember prices but I was pleased with them.

There's a place in Lilley that does the rugs themselves. I've used them for years with good results. I think they call themselves Simply Rugs.

They are a bit out of my way and have also lost my friends rug that was supposed to be washed..

Thats the place, Lamer Lane I think they are up out of the village. They send them away to someone who actually does them, and when I collected them they had them in a unit at the back so they and we didnt have to drag them all through the store. Dont know if they still do it but worth asking.

If think I am right in saying that they replaced the rug with a brand new one, that can't be bad a new rug for an old one with no charge for the rug cleaning.
