Rug Cleaning Service - Surrey Area...

Hi all,

Last thread from me today promise!

I need to find a new rug washing service in my local area as I have moved counties so its no longer viable to travel to my old rug washing/reproofing place. Somewhere local to Woking, Chobham, Leatherhead or Guildford would be ideal.

I picked up a leaflet in my local CountryWide store for rug washing and reproofing and nearly had a heart attack....25GBP for Outdoor rug wash and reproof and something like 18GBP for stable rugs

This is about twice as much as I was paying before! As I have many rugs to get cleaned I am keen to try and find a cheaper alternative.

Right now I want to get my mares thinner rugs cleaned in preparation for Spring as they are dirty from Autumn use. Then send all rugs off in the summer

I would be most grateful if you can give me any suggestions/recommendations.

Simply rugs. I've used him for 8 years. Comes and collects and returns. £17.50 for wash and reproof. £12 for wash. Never had a rug shrink or go missing. He's based in Hampshire but as I said collects. I'm in Kent, so I'm sure he'd come to u. His name is Damien, 07967218088.

A fellow member has kindly PM'ed the details of a company who are very reasonably priced by all accounts so am going to contact them but will bear the below details in mind too.

Anything cheaper than the rip off prices at CW is a bonus as I was thinking I would either have to make the 45 mile treck to my old rug cleaning place or swallow the extortionate CW prices

Ooooh its a shame your not nearer to me. I charge £7 for stable rugs and £14 for wash and re-proof and £9 for wash only for turnout rugs. The difference between North and South is quite shocking!!

Definitely agree with Simply Rugs!! Just started using them a couple of months ago and they are brilliant! They collect one week and return the following week! Great service and very reasonable too!

There is a local Surrey based service which will collect and return rugs to your yard, wash, reproff and mend. The owner herself is based at a Yard in Chessington - but she travels. (No - it isn't me!)

£9 for a fleece / cooler and so on.
They even run a loyalty scheme!

I haven't used it myself - I wash and re-proof my own. But others seem satisfied.
