Rug Dilemna! Help and suggestions appreciated please! :D

Ok, so here goes!

Madam is currently in a MWT Amigo stable rug, and an old 200g Rhino Wug which is no longer suitable for outdoors use (it has been shredded!), so has been relegated to a stable rug!

This is ok, until it gets colder, and then I am going to struggle a bit with rugs..

I have a HWT turnout, which is lovely, but has a full neck which rubs her mane out. I also have a 200g underrug with full neck, which again, rubs her mane out...

SO ideally, I need something that is flexible enough to add warmth, but can be an underrug, and will not rub her mane out/can be used under her TO rug to stop that from rubbing her mane out...

Ideas please? :D Am I better off going for a TO rug I can use both indoors and outdoors, or a nice snuggly stable rug that I have to layer under her TO?!

She currently only has her HWT TO (which rubs her mane out) and a very lightweight TO that "really" fit her, as the others are all hand me downs from my old horse, so have a fair bit of bottom showing! :o

I've confused myself, so any ideas would be much appreciated :D What rugs have you found invaluable?
 
Yip I'd put a snuggle hood on. Don't like the all in one suites but I just have the head, neck and shoulder one as my horse is currently in a half neck which as been notorious in past for rubbing manes and mane i still fine. I just bought the cheaper robinsons one and is the best purchase I made.
 
Premier Equine Trio rug, I use mine indoors and out and was a fickler for having loads of different weight rugs that hubby would roll his eyes at me as could never understand why 3 horses needed so many rugs!

Bought the Trio for my youngster and it is fabulous, 100g fill outer rug and then a 100g liner a 200g liner and another 350g liner so you can change to whatever the temperature.

Also with a 100g removeable neck cover and a 200g neck cover.

The liners wash in the machine really well as well.

They are over £200 at the moment though, I bought mine in the sale for £110.

The other alternative if you already have a decent rug is to buy the liners separate, they come with the front strap and clips to attach to your d's at the back of your rug, I know you won't have the front tabs at the neck to attach to but I have used to liners with a Weatherbeeta rug on my other horse and they stay in place well. Rambo Duo liners work just as well too.

Other alternative is a Weatherbeeta Tristar which is again another interchangeable liner rug.

Those dress circle sherpas are on ebay, I have the full hood one for len to layer underneath his stable rug, might get a headless one for underneath the turnout, the mane area is lined so no rubbing
