Since moving the boys to winter grazing I am having a huge rug sort out (I have far too many).

The rugs range from being in decent useable conditions to some that are ripped.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on charities that might appreciated them. Seems a shame to just chuck them as I'm sure someone with the time and inclination could fix the majority of them up.

I'm in Derbyshire and happy to deliver to somewhere not too far away.

Do charities only take clean rugs?

I lost my old girl in July and shoved all her rugs up in the attic because I couldn't bear to look at them. I can't bring myself to sell them but I think I'll need to do something with them soon. Some are a bit mud-stained though so not sure what to do with them.

I've got some rugs to give away too including a new one that didn't fit properly. They are not really good enough to sell, but they are too good to burn. Some need a small repair and they probably need a wash too.

Equestrian Tack Clearance on FB will pay for a courier to collect them from you. It's a good friend of mine that runs the page and she works her arse off raising money for charity in Ireland. I can hand on heart say she is wonderful and started this up on her own and really has made a huge difference to horses over there.
