My cob is only 6'6" in length but his neck is so wide and his shoulder so deep that the rugs I currently have don't fit! Can anyone recommend a lightweight that might fit his shape? I just want to put one on to keep him reasonably clean so I can ride him without having to spend hours cleaning him first (he lives out) Grr!

I find the Weatherbeeta orican freestyle fits our cob snugly, she has a big neck, shoulder and b/side, never rubs and stays put, lovely rug, and are very good value for money, her indoor rugs are 6', turnouts because I like the extra over the bum I go for 6' 3"..

Mine has a huge neck and big bottom and needs a deep rug. The only ones i have found that fit him well and don't move are the Amigo ones. He is a 6'3 to a 6'6 in rugs and takes the large size in neck cover which fits him nicely both in length and around. He also has a couple of shires rugs which aren't quite as deep as his amigo ones but seem to fit well enough.

I only have Mark Todds for my chunky 15.3 cob mar - very thick neck, deep and wide in the shoulder and chest. She has a 6.9 rain rug, 6.9 MW - but her 6.9 HW Horseware Wug I bought her when I got her is so skimpy by comparison - tight and uncomfortable. Mark Todds are generously cut and have a pleated shoulder which gives great room. they are also quite deep rugs.

My 15.1hh Cob mare is in a 6'6 rug and she is a big girl. I have her in Bridleway rugs. Lovely well made rugs with plenty off room around the necks.

Mast and shires sugs always go down well with my girlie, she used to have a HUGE neck! Lady at my yard has a mare by copper's pride and her neck is mahoosive and would even compete with ARKO's neck :p she has weatherbeetas :) x
